Save the Date!
Dillon and I first met each other after swiping right. We hit it it off immediately during our first date. I was super hesitant at first because meeting someone off the internet is terrifying, if it wasn't for my friends giving me the confidence to go, I would have lost my chance on meeting the man of my dreams. After 9 months of chatting and getting to know each other, he invited me on a camping trip with his family. Little did I know it was his ENTIRE family. He introduced me to them as his friend, but his mom and aunties called him out on that real quick. He finally decided to make whatever this "thing" was official. He asked me to be his girlfriend, but if you know me, I of course made him sweat it out a bit. But then I agreed that it was about time he asked me and I would.
1 year later on our anniversary, at the beginning of the world shutting down because of the pandemic, we broke the rules and had the same family and my parents over for a barbeque as we couldn't go on our annual camping trip. To my surprise, this was going to be the day I become future Mrs. Truax. He had a beautiful box wrapped up for me to open, which ended up being empty and I turned around to Dillon down on one knee, asking if I would marry him and become his wife. I thought he was pranking me as we do that a lot with each other. Seconds later, I'm ugly crying, Dillon's shaking and our family was cheering. I said "YEAH DUH!" Dillon and I are the perfect match of sass, humor and the love of adventuring. I didn't believe in soul mates or love at first sight, but with us, its pretty dang close. We're best friends and we cannot wait to start this new chapter in our lives with the ones we love to witness it.
Ceremony at 4pm to be followed immediately by reception at 5pm.
